Michael Jackson accused of stealing songs

UNITED STATES – Michael Jackson’s father said that music producer Quincy Jones was “jealous” of his son, “because he has never worked with someone who has all these talents.”

Jones, who produced and worked with artists including Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Paul Simon, Miles Davis and others, sparked controversy after an interview with Vulture earlier this month.

Where he accused the pop king Michael Jackson of “stealing a lot of things” from melodies and songs from other artists and claimed that the famous song “Billie Jean” was stolen from the song “State of Independence” recorded by the American singer Donna Samar in 1982.

“I’m sorry to say this in public, but Michael stole a lot of songs,” the 84-year-old musician said. He also accused the king of pop of “stinginess” and “greed,” pointing out that he refused to recognize the credit in “Do not Stop” Til You Get Enough “for guitarist Greg Feelings, where Jackson had to give him 10% of the song’s earnings, but he did not, Jones said.

In response to the charges, Joe Jackson told “Page Six” that if there was a similarity between Michael and Samar, the blame was on Jones himself, as producer of the two songs, allowing him to discover the “theft” if he believed it occurred.
