An earthquake of magnitude 6.4 occurred on the south coast of the most densely populated island of Java on Friday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reports.
The shocks were fixed at 16.47 UTC. The hearth of the earthquake lay at a depth of 104 kilometers. The tremors were also felt on the neighboring major island of Sulawesi.
Information about the threat of tsunami, casualties and destruction did not come.
