UNITED KINGDOM (VOP) – WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange loses appeal against British arrest warrant for jumping bail, tells him to appear in court first.
The court of London once again refused to grant a request for the cancellation of the warrant for the arrest of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.
This was reported by Judge Westminster Magistrates Court of London Emma Arbuthnot.
According to the agency, the judge did not find “grounds for fear” Assange to be extradited to the US, which, in her opinion, could cause a “diplomatic scandal” between Sweden and Britain.
Julian Assange for five years is in the embassy of Ecuador in London, where he is hiding from extradition to Sweden.
The founder of the resource believes that he is threatened with taking into custody if he decides to leave the embassy of Ecuador.
Earlier it became known that the authorities of Ecuador plan to send Assange from his embassy.
If this happens, the creator of WikiLeaks will appear before the Swedish court on charges of rape or will be extradited to the US where he faces the death penalty for divulging secret documents.
