Likud Party on Sunday votes in favor of a draft resolution to annex settlements in the West Bank to Israel. This was reported by Israeli media.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party voted overwhelmingly on Sunday to favor a decision to annex all settlements in the West Bank to Israel.

Israeli media reported that the decision, the first of its kind after Israel’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in the summer of 2005, provides for free construction and the application of Israel’s laws and sovereignty over the entire settlement area in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

“On the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Judea and Samaria, including Jerusalem, our eternal capital, the Likud Central Committee calls on elected Likud leaders to work to allow free construction and to apply Israel’s laws and sovereignty over the entire liberated area of Judea and Samaria.”
