Leader of Islamic State al-Baghdadi fled from Iraq to Syria by taxi — reports

The leader of the Islamic State (IS, ISIS/ISIL) terrorist group Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is currently in Syria.

This is reported by the Egyptian newspaper “Ad-Dustur” referring to Iraqi intelligence.

According to intelligence reports, al-Baghdadi on November 3, “having used the services of a yellow taxi, moved from the Iraqi district of Rawa (Anbar province) to Syria.” Presumably, he proceeded to Deir Ezzor.

It is noted that the terrorist “specifically insisted on a taxi to stay unnoticed.”

In July, it was reported about the possible death of al-Baghdadi, later this information was disproved.

On November 3, the last stronghold of the Islamic State in Iraq, the city of Al Qaim, was released from terrorists who hurriedly left their positions and moved to the Syrian Bu-Kamal.

The Iraqi army, meanwhile, concentrated its forces on Rawa.
