Representatives of the Kurds clarified the information about the deaths during the air strikes of Turkey in the Syrian Afrin area.
As reported by local media, the Kurds claimed 10 dead from the bombing, including seven civilians. Among the local militia, two women and a man were killed.
Recall that earlier information appeared on 10 dead, and representatives of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces assert that only militants of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party and the Democratic Union party were injured during the attack.
Recall, on January 20 operation “Olive branch” began: Turkish planes hit 108 of 113 targets in the territory of Afrin. The government of Turkey expects that on January 21 the ground phase of the operation may begin.
Representatives of the Foreign Ministry of Syria expressed strong protest in connection with the actions of Ankara.
