UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Prime Minister of Pakistan warned India during a televised speech on the occasion of Independence Day, saying: “We will respond to each step is greater than them (..) and we will go to the end”
India’s latest moves in its part of the disputed Kashmir region are “a major strategic mistake,” Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Wednesday.
“I think this is a big strategic mistake on the part of (Indian Prime Minister Narendra) Modi. It will cost him and his government a lot,” Khan said in a televised speech on Independence Day.
He added: “After playing the last card Modi, the world is now looking at Kashmir and Pakistan, and I will be an ambassador to talk about Kashmir.”
“There is a terrible ideology ahead of us today – the ideology of the Hindu National Society of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sang, of which Modi has been a member since childhood.”
“In this ideology – like the Nazis – ethnic cleansing of Muslims from India is included. If you understand this ideology, you can understand a lot of things.”
Khan said: “In the past five years, cruelty in occupied Kashmir as a result of this ideology.”
He directed the “Khan” warning to “Moody” said: “My message to you is that we will respond to each step is greater than them .. We will respond to everything you do and we will go to the end.”
Last week, the New Delhi-controlled part of the province saw widespread protests against the Indian government, after which the authorities ordered citizens to remain at home.
This followed the abolition by the Indian Government on 5 August of two articles of the Constitution, one of which grants autonomy to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The other gives Kashmiris alone in the state the right to permanent residence as well as the right to employment in government departments and property and to receive educational grants.
The following day, the upper and lower chambers of the Indian Parliament approved the decision to divide Jammu and Kashmir into two regions (Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh), which report directly to the central government.
But the resolution still needs to be passed by the country’s president to become law.
