UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — The Vega rocket was launched into space carrying the Italian satellite Prisma, which will probe the Earth remotely.

The light rocket “Vega” carried the Italian satellite “PRISMA”, at 02:50 UTC, on Friday, 22 March, from the Kuro Space Airport in French Guiana.

It is the 14th launch of a Vega rocket from Kuro Space Airport, the first launch in February 2012.

The Italian satellite Prisma is the 70th satellite launched by French company Arianespace.
