Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Tuesday will refuse negotiations with the Palestinian government if Hamas plays any role in talks.

In a statement released by his security cabinet, it was underscored the Israeli government “will not hold political talks with a Palestinian government that is supported by Hamas, a terror organization calling for the destruction of Israel.”

Last week, rival Palestinian political factions Fatah and Hamas signed a reconciliation agreement in Cairo under which the Palestinian Authority is to resume assume full control of the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip by December 1.
