Islamic State militants attack US military base in northern Iraq. Three suicide bombers on Sunday attacked the U.S. forces in northern Iraq and they were killed by the U.S. troops, a Kurdish official website said.

The bombers attacked a military base housing U.S. forces in a village near Makhmour, located some 60 km southeast of Mosul, said the official website of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), a major Kurdish party in which the Iraqi President Fuad Masoum is a leading figure.
