Residents of several cities in Iran took to the streets in protest at the outbreak of violence that occurred in the country during recent demonstrations. This was announced on Wednesday by the Press TV channel.

Anti-government actions, whose participants expressed dissatisfaction with the rise in prices, began in several cities of Iran on December 28. During the riots and clashes with the police killed at least 20 people, including law enforcement officers.
The Iranian authorities announced the arrest of more than 450 protesters, who are due to appear in court in the near future.
