Iranian Foreign Minister heads to New York

UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Javad Zarif traveled to New York on Saturday to attend the annual meeting of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of senior UN officials.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said Zarif was due to visit Venezuela after his visit to New York.

Moussaoui said that the foreign minister will participate in the meeting of foreign ministers of the member states of the Non-Aligned Movement and will hold bilateral meetings with the officials in Venezuela.

He also said that Zarif would visit Nicaragua and Bolivia in South America to hold bilateral meetings with their officials.
