The Iranian authorities provided full access to the territory of the country to the telegram messenger, the Iranian agency IRNA reports with reference to its own sources.

“Sources said that the blocking (of a number of channels in Telegram – IF ) was removed, and at the moment users have access to them,” the message said.

In late December, the Iranian authorities blocked Telegram, as well as the Instagram exchange service.

Such a decision was made by the Iranian Supreme Security Council to maintain public order after a number of large Iranian cities held protests in connection with the economic situation in the country.
