International human rights organization calls on Israel to stop deporting migrants

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — The human rights organization Impact accused Israel of carrying out forcible deportation in an inhuman manner, without taking into account the legal status of migrants and refugees or considering them vulnerable.

An international rights group called on Israel on Wednesday to review its policies towards migrants and migrant workers and stop their forced deportation.

Hundreds of immigrant children, most of whom were born in Israel, are threatened with arbitrary forcible deportation and an unknown fate, Impact said.

In a research sent to Anatolia, the foundation added that forcible transfer involves “hidden” goals by creating “a kind of demographic balance that preserves the majority of Jews, which is a racist measure.”

Impact also accused Israel of carrying out forcible deportation procedures in an inhuman manner, without taking into account the legal status of migrants and refugees or considering them vulnerable.

About 600 Filipino families, including a large number of children, remain at risk of forcible transfer, according to the non-governmental organization United Children of Israel.

Since January, Israeli authorities have arrested 36 families, including 24 Filipino families, for “illegal presence” before being released on condition that they leave before the end of 2019.

Impact is a London-based international think tank that is interested in state and nonprofit policies.
