Indian military helicopter crashes near China border, 7 people dead

An Indian airforce helicopter crashed in a remote mountain region near the border with China on Friday, killing all seven personnel on board, reported Reuters citing officials as saying.

Earlier Indian media reported at least five personnel killed and another critically injured as an Indian Air force chopper crashed during a training sortie near Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh.

IAF has ordered an inquiry into the incident.

An Mi-17 V5 helicopter crashed in Arunachal Pradesh this morning, reported ANI.

The incident took place at around 6:00 am during a training sortie.
