The Houthis announced on Thursday the launch of a ballistic missile on a Saudi army camp south of the kingdom, the second of its kind within 24 hours.
“The rocket force of the army and the popular committees launched this morning a short-range ballistic missile at the Najran air defense camp in southern Saudi Arabia,” the official Saba news agency said.
The agency quoted a military source as saying: The missile “hit his target accurately, causing heavy losses in the camp.”
The Houthis announced on Wednesday the launch of a medium-range ballistic missile on the center of operations of the Saudi army in Najran.
The Saudi-led Arab alliance often announces that Saudi air defense forces intercept and destroy these missiles.
Saudi border areas such as Jizan, Najran and Asir have been subject to military operations, shootings and shells originating in Yemen since the start of Arab-led operations led by Riyadh against the Houthis in March 2015.
The Arab alliance announced a week ago that the Houthis had fired about 87 ballistic missiles and more than 66 thousand military shells towards the territory of the Kingdom since the outbreak of the conflict in Yemen about three years ago.
