UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido on Tuesday accused the administration of President Nicolas Maduro of the genocide of the population, leading to the death of 7 million people. With such an accusation, Guaido spoke on the TVV channel.

“The arrival of humanitarian aid means the existence of a humanitarian crisis. It means that the regime recognizes the existence of a crisis. They admit that they provoked a genocide, as a result of which 7 million Venezuelans died,” said Guaido.

The oppositionist also believes that help has come because the authorities “have destroyed the health care system.”

“We will insist that humanitarian aid reach the neediest layers. We hope that the Red Cross will not show political commitment,” said Guaido.

Earlier, CNN , citing its sources, reported that the first plane of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) arrived from Panama in the capital of Venezuela with a cargo of humanitarian aid, the delivery agreement of which was reached on April 10.
