UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Anti-Israeli demonstrations took place on Tuesday, May 14, in the different localities of the Golan Heights, occupied by the Israeli regime.

Israeli-occupied Syrian residents of the Golan Heights took to the streets to condemn the recent decision by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to name US President Donald Trump to a new settlement.

According to the official Syrian News Agency (SANA), “residents of Majdal Shams, Bakaata, Ayn Winyah and Masaada have declared, through a series of protests, that Netanyahu’s decision was aggressive in nature. and illegal and contradicted the UN Charter and Resolutions”.

Sedqi al-Maqt, recently released from an Israeli prison, stressed that the inhabitants of the Golan Heights were subjected to unfair measures imposed on Syrians living in the occupied territories.

On Sunday, May 12, Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he would give the name of US President Donald Trump to a new colony on the Golan Heights.

Netanyahu’s decision came just a month after the US president recognized Israel’s “sovereignty” over the Golan Heights.
