GERMANY – Researchers from the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Germany have developed a robot no longer than 1 millimeter long, working and moving on solid and liquid surfaces.

The researchers made these small dimensions of the flexible robot by making a rubber material filled with small magnetic particles, making it can move in different media, and help to change the shape to fit the place it contains.

This new technology allows the expansion and improvement of medical services in hospitals for the smallest size, as it will assist in the diagnosis of internal organs diseases in the human body.
