Gazprom’s exports fell 4.7 percent

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Russia’s Gazprom said on Friday that its exports since the beginning of 2019 have fallen by 4.7 percent year on year.

The company said in a statement that its exports fell to 119.1 billion cubic meters between the beginning of January last and mid-August.

On the other hand, the company revealed that its gas production increased during the same period, by 1.7 percent year on year, to 312 billion cubic meters of gas.

The company pointed out that its production in the elapsed period of 2019, is the highest in eight years.

In 2018, the company increased production by 5.4 percent to 497.6 billion cubic meters, and exports by 4 percent to 201.9 billion cubic meters.

In 2017, the company produced 472 billion cubic meters and exported 194.4 billion cubic meters.
