The judge on terrorism affairs of the Paris Court filed on Saturday a charge of 33-year-old man in the preparation of the terrorist attack in the country. This was reported by the agency France-Presse, citing a source in law enforcement agencies.

According to him, the detainee previously distributed a videotape, in which he stated his fidelity to the ideas of the terrorist group Islamic State.

He was captured by officers of the Main Directorate of Homeland Security on Tuesday in the vicinity of the city of Nîmes (Department of Gar, south of the country).

During the search, substances used to prepare an explosive device were found in the room where the attacker lived.

At the moment there is no information as to whether this person has chosen any specific goal for the commission of the terrorist attack, the AFP specifies.
