The CNN network published a video that it said was the remains of a rocket fired by the Yemen Ansar Allah group in Saudi Arabia.
CNN said it was the first news crew to be informed of this rocket, which dropped last month, about 15 miles from Riyadh.
On Tuesday, December 19, Ansar Allah launched a ballistic missile towards the Saudi capital Riyadh aimed at a meeting of Saudi leaders at a royal palace.
Al-Masirah, a television station affiliated with Ansar Allah, quoted military sources as saying the missile targeted a large gathering of Saudi leaders. It gave no further details.
The Saudi-led Arab alliance announced its opposition to the ballistic missile. “The coalition intercepted a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis south of Riyadh,” the official Saudi news channel reported.
