UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has decided to publish the details of its largest investigation, the Bigfoot (the Yeti), a record kept secret for 40 years, reports CNBC.
That’s it! On June 5, the Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI ) released for the first time the file containing details of its research on fingerprints that could belong to the Yeti .

In 1976, Peter Byrne, director of the Bigfoot Information Center and Exhibition, sent the FBI a request for analysis of hair and organic tissue, whose origin was unknown at the time. The FBI then accepted in the name of “scientific research”. But the results were not those expected by Byrne.
“These examinations have concluded that the hairs are those of a deer family,” wrote FBI Assistant Director of Science and Technology Services Jay Cochran Jr., and the FBI returned Byrne’s samples of Bigfoot.
Decades later, Byrne told CNBC that he still believed in Bigfoot. In his words, over the last 50 years, he has found two or three sets of footprints of Yeti in the Himalayas.
However, he also admits the possibility that these traces may belong to the Sadhoux, Indian holy men who have renounced the world and all goods in an attempt to attain liberation, the fourth and final stage of human life in the Hindu religion.
