EU accuses Facebook for providing ‘misleading’ information about WhatsApp buyout, report Bloomberg.

Facebook could be facing a potential fine after the European Commission has accused the company of providing misleading information about its $19bn takeover of WhatsApp.

European authorities charged Facebook  with inaccurately claiming that it was technically not possible to combine user information from Facebook and WhatsApp during the 2014 takeover, in a statement of objections on Tuesday.
