Representatives of the Evangelical Church in Zurich reported their readiness to accept donations from their parishioners in the bitcoins. It seems that in this way they decided to demonstrate the fact that religion is not against digital progress.

Here is what ICF representative Nicolas Legler said:

“Crypto and currency in the near future will change our everyday reality more and more.” Also, crypto-currencies, controlled by the state, will be created. We are confident that these technologies will soon become a part of our daily lives. ”

The above-mentioned Evangelical Church exists on the donations of parishioners, the largest proportion of which are young people. This, it can be assumed, explains the loyalty of church officials to crypto-currencies. Most likely, other churches will follow the example of ICF in the near future.

Recall that in the autumn of last year Life Change company announced the release of the first Christian crypto currency – Coin of Christ. As the authors of this idea stated, this crypto currency should give users the opportunity to earn on volunteering and religious activities.

Do not stay away from the crypto industry and representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church. Thus, at the end of the year, the Orthodox charitable foundation Praveen, founded by entrepreneur Boris Akimov, announced joining LavkaLavka’s loyalty program.

Akimov intends to promote the idea of integrating Russian churches and monasteries with a block-platform and using biocoans.
