Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed over the phone with the leaders of Iran and Tunisia, as well as the Premier of Malaysia, Washington’s intention to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. This is reported by Anadolu.
As noted, Erdogan told Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Tunisian President Beji Qaida Es-Sebsi and Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak that such a move would “violate the peace process in the Middle East.”
Earlier in the White House reported that US leader Donald Trump on December 6 will officially declare the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the US has the right to make such decisions.
