Erdogan and Merkel discuss bilateral relations by phone

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and German Chancellor Angela Merkel discussed bilateral relations and regional issues by telephone.

According to a statement issued by the Department of Communication in the Turkish presidency, on Tuesday, Erdogan and Merkel discussed the telephone.

During the call, the two sides discussed bilateral relations as well as regional issues.

Erdogan and Merkel held a closed-door meeting on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Japan at the end of June.
