Democrat leader in the US Senate Chuck Schumer said that blame for the closure (shatdown) of federal agencies that were left without funding due to the failure of the bill lies entirely on President Donald Trump.
Federal agencies of the US remained without funding at midnight, after the Senate could not accept the relevant bill. He was torpedoed by Democrats, who insisted on including in the interim budget measures on immigration, against which the Republicans and the White House acted.
The White House has already called the democrats’ policy in the Senate “the behavior of the losers.”
“The fault should lie entirely on Trump’s shoulders, which will be called Trump’s Trident, because there is no one who deserves accusations for that, we are in this position more than President Trump,” Sumer said.
Schumer called on Trump and Congress leaders to resume talks on Saturday.
The United States is one of the few countries where the government can not fully function without a budget.
