Dead and missing in a landslide north of China

UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Ten people were killed and 10 others missing as houses collapsed due to a landslide on Friday evening in north China’s Shanxi Province, local authorities said Sunday.

According to the authorities, as of Sunday morning 16 people were recovered from the rubble and taken to hospital, but three of them died of wounds, while seven others were found killed at the scene.

The local government said rescuers were continuing to search for missing persons with the help of dogs and rescue equipment.
