The members of the lower chamber of the Czech Parliament voted to deprive the deputy immunity of the prime minister, the leader of the political movement “Action of Dissatisfied Citizens”, Andrei Babish.

“For” expressed 111 out of 180 participating in the voting of deputies.

In fact, this decision means the beginning of the criminal prosecution of Babish, who several months ago was accused of fraud.

The scandal erupted before the parliamentary elections in the republic, where the ANO movement won a convincing victory.

According to the investigation, Babish together with his associates organized an illegal scheme, through which he appropriated 50 million crowns of grants from the EU funds.

The prime minister himself denies all charges and intends to prove his innocence in court. According to Babish, the law enforcement bodies that have taken up arms carry out the order of the political mafia.
