Cuba’s leader Raul Castro meets with DPRK foreign minister in Havana

On Friday in Havana, the Chairman of the State Council and the Council of Ministers of Cuba Raul Castro met with the Foreign Minister of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Lee Yong-ho, who arrived in the island state for a visit.

“The parties noted that Cuba and the DPRK are linked by historical ties of friendship, and discussed issues on the international agenda that are of mutual interest”.

The message did not say which questions were discussed by Castro and Lee Yong-ho.

During the meeting, the head of the North Korean Foreign Ministry conveyed to Raul Castro the greetings of the leader of the DPRK Kim Jong-un, and also expressed his condolences on the first anniversary of the death of Fidel Castro, who passed away on November 25, 2016.
