Company president: crew of the tanker Cococa Carides saw an Iranian army ship Thursday night

UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — The crew of the tanker saw an Iranian navy ship on Thursday night and ruled out the tanker’s attack on a torpedo, Japan’s oil operator Kokoka Carides said on Friday.

He said the tanker was hit by aircraft and was moving safely towards Khorfakkan.

The United States blamed Iran for the attacks on two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman on Thursday, driving oil prices higher and raising fears of a new confrontation between Iran and the United States, but Tehran categorically denied the charge.
