Coinbase was once again subjected to fierce criticism after the appearance in the network of evidence of its responsibility for a crowded membrane and, consequent from this, a long confirmation of the bitcoin of transactions.

Coinbase blamed the user Twitter @CivEkonom after a recent temporary halt to the platform for cash withdrawal in bitcoins. @CivEkonom noted that immediately after the specified stop, the size of the membrane just began to decrease in seconds, and as soon as the operations resumed, the size of the membrane immediately went up. The user has accompanied his statements with the appropriate schedules.

It is noteworthy that the platform still performs transactions separately, while this could be done by means of batching, i.e. uniting in the party. Yes, and the commission of Coinbase is simply staggering its size. And this is in view of the fact that the merger of transactions to reduce the commission has long been adopted by most companies and services.

“You need to merge outbound transactions. It’s you who spam the network. If you used SegWit and combined all outgoing transactions, the mempool would be empty! The graph clearly shows this. This is your main business, and you are destroying it yourself, “@CivEkonom said quite harshly to the platform.

The statement of @CivEkonom was confirmed by Bitrefill CEO Sergey Kotlyar, who proposed alternative schedules.

Such a far from beautiful picture of reality explains the special attention, chained to Coinbase. This platform, which offers users a simple and user-friendly interface, attracts a huge number of newcomers to the field of crypto-currencies, which already in the future face many problems in which they criticize the company for a long time.

Earlier this week, we already talked about the petition on the Change.org website to Coinbase, which collected over 100,000 signatures, in which users called on the platform to accelerate the implementation of SegWit, which would significantly reduce the amount of commissions for transactions.

In response to the massacre of criticism, the head of Coinbase, Brian Armstrong, in his tweet last Friday said that the platform has now stepped up work on the consolidation of transactions, the implementation of the SegWit protocol and other strategies, whose goal is to reduce the time delays in confirming transactions.
