UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) – The boycott of presidential elections in Russia, proposed by opposition figures, “did not work at all,” correspondent Matthew Chance said. According to the results of the first exit polls, as the correspondent reports, Vladimir Putin receives more than 70% of the vote.

Matthew, we know that more than 100 million people have the right to vote. Tell us about the results. Opposition activists, of course, called for a boycott. Did it work?

Matthew Chance, CNN correspondent : In general, it does not seem that it worked, no. The final figures are not yet known. But just a few minutes ago, before I went on the air, (the turnout was. – InoTV ) a little more than 60%. But we will not know the final results until, of course, the votes are counted, and then the results will finally be with us.

A couple of seconds ago I was told that there are first results of exit polls in Russia, and Vladimir Putin receives 70% of the vote, which is an extremely high result. And he is as tall – if not higher – as the results of the three elections on which he defeated.
