Chinese Rover Reveals the Secret of the “Mysterious Building” on the Moon

UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Earlier, we reported that the Chinese rover Yutu 2, while moving around the Von Karman crater, discovered a strange cube-shaped object.

Various theories immediately appeared on the Web that an object called a “mysterious hut” or “mysterious cube” may have an alien origin.

The discovery was first made in November by the Yuytu-2 lunar rover. The detected object was approximately 80 meters from the apparatus. The unusual discovery was reported on the China National Space Administration (CNSA) page.

The Chinese space agency later announced that their rover would travel to the facility at a super-fast 200 meters per hour to get all the answers.

Now we have the question of what kind of object it is, and, frankly, it’s not that interesting. This is a simple stone.

Paul Byrne, professor of earth and planetary sciences at the University of Washington in St. Louis, said it was a large boulder. There is a definition of a boulder, according to the so-called Udden-Wentworth scale, which states that a boulder is a piece of rock with a diameter of more than 256 mm. So, this lunar find still matters, the scientist added.

The Yutu-2 team named the stone the “Jade Rabbit” because of its resemblance to this animal.
