UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on his re-election as chairman of the State Affairs Council, Xinhua news agency reported on Friday.

Xi said to Kim that China cherishes its friendship with North Korea and wants to give bilateral ties a push forward.
