Chinese are innovating new technology to mislead radars

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — Chinese scientists have announced the invention of new Steels technology to hide radars.

Professor Lu Xianhang and his colleagues at the Institute of Optics and Electronics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences have prepared the first mathematical model in history to describe the behavior of electromagnetic waves when dealing with a metal surface engraved with micro-decorations.

The South China Morning Post said that the invention formed the basis of a membrane known as the surface of the metal absorbing radars within the broad wave spectrum.

US technology requires the use of radar-absorbing coatings. But heavy, expensive and short-lived. They can be considered effective only within a particular spectrum of waves.

The use of Chinese technology, during its last test, led to the decay of the reflected radar signal up to 30 decibels in the frequency range from 0.3 to 50 GHz.

An expert in the experiment from Shanghai’s Fudan University said a fighter or a ship using the new technology could mislead any modern radar.
