CHINA (VOP TODAY NEWS) – The engineers of the Chinese manufacturer of high-speed trains CRRC Tangshan Co. for the first time conducted tests of the Fusion train, capable of speeding 350 kilometers per hour and simultaneously carrying more than 1,100 passengers, Xinhua news agency reported.
The length of the new train, which includes 16 cars, reaches 415 meters, which is twice the length of the “Fusion” trains, which are currently in operation of the Chinese railway.
The new train will have to undergo a series of tests before obtaining permission for mass production, when it can take place, has not yet been reported. It is noted that the new train is fully developed and built in China.
Since August last year, high-speed trains “Fusion”, moving at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, began to run along the Beijing-Shanghai railway line. “Fusion” delivers passengers from Beijing to Shanghai in 4 hours 28 minutes, which is an hour and a half faster than before.
All Chinese high-speed trains are designed so that they can develop a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour, but seven years ago, the country’s authorities decided to limit the speed of travel with a mark of 300 kilometers per hour.
