UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — China’s Ruhr “Chang-eh-4”, a 163-meter-long spacecraft on the dark side of the moon, was revealed by the official Chinese lunar program on the social network “WeChat”.
The rover, during two months of working on the moon, has studied the characteristics of rocks, which will enable scientists in the future to determine the origin of the upper layer of the surface of the moon.
The Rover also sent to the ground photographs taken from close range.
The Chang’e-4 probe was launched on December 8 from China’s Seashan space station by China’s Long March-3B.
The project includes a probe and a self-propelled beam, whose main task is to study the dark side of the moon.
