UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — The government is ready to hold further discussions over the next two days with the opposition Labor Party on the exit from the European Union, a spokesman for British Prime Minister Theresa May’s office said on Friday.

“We have made serious proposals in the talks this week and are ready to make changes in the political declaration in order to present an agreement acceptable to all parties,” the spokesman said in a statement.

“We are ready for further detailed discussions over the next two days to seek any changes before the European Council meeting on Wednesday. The government is determined to work constructively to provide an exit agreement for which people voted and to avoid participating in the European Parliament elections.”
