The UK can pay up to £ 58bn (€ 65bn) for Brexit because of EU pressure, which led to the adoption of a bill on the withdrawal of the kingdom from the European Union. This is reported by The Guardian.
A senior EU source told the publication that the UK agreed to pay its share in the union’s unpaid bills, loans, pensions and other financial obligations. It is noted that the country will pay EU costs for 44 years of its membership.
It is noted that British Prime Minister Therese May received the government’s consent to increase the amount paid under Brexit. However, the source made it clear that the British Cabinet voted not for a specific amount, but for a common mechanism for calculating payments.
Earlier it was reported that the UK withdrew from the top five countries with the largest economy.
