UNITED KINGDOM (VOP TODAY NEWS) — The United Kingdom stands in solidarity with the United States and believes that China is responsible for hacker attacks against several countries, according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry of the United Kingdom.

Washington has filed charges against two Chinese citizens for hacker attacks against the United States and 11 other countries in the interests of Chinese intelligence, a source in the US Department of Justice said on Thursday.

Also, the United States called on China to stop “criminal activity” in cyberspace.

“The British government and its allies blame the Chinese government for large-scale cyber attacks aimed at finding commercial secrets around the world. The UK claims that the (hacker) group, known as APT 10, acted on behalf of the Chinese Department of State Security and conducted a malicious campaign in cyberspace to steal intellectual property, as well as sensitive commercial information in Europe, Asia and the United States,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The National Cybersecurity Center, according to the Foreign Ministry, believes that with the highest degree of probability, the hackers from APT 10 are behind large-scale attacks on the systems of major service providers. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the group continues to launch attacks on large international companies.

“The attacks indicate that part of the government of China does not adhere to the direct commitments made by China to Britain in the 2015 bilateral agreement,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
