Brazil prison killings

The killing of dozens of inmates in two Brazilian prisons put Amazonas Gov. Jose Melo under fire and led him to say that that there were “no saints,” among the victims.

Forensics experts said that half of the slain were beheaded and several others were also dismembered in the worst bloodshed at a prison of the South American country since 1992.
