UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (VOP TODAY NEWS) — British Prime Minister Boris Johnson told his top cabinet team on Thursday they face a heavy task and are committed to implementing the break-up from the EU by October 31.

Johnson, who officially took over from Theresa May on Wednesday and quickly removed most of her ministerial team, held his first cabinet meeting on Thursday.

“We have a heavy task ahead of us,” Johnson said on television. We are all committed, at a crucial time in the history of our country, to leave the European Union on 31 October and even before, without excuses or exceptions.”
