The beginning of the year has become quite nervous for the customers and the very command Bitcoin-Bitwala platform itself.
The gap in the cooperation of the WaveCrest payment platform with VISA, which we already talked about a week ago, led to the closure of bank accounts and the suspension of Bitwala services related to the issue and maintenance of debit cards.
Against the background of what is happening, the management of Bitwala informed about the reformatting of business and the creation of a cryptobank.
“On December 29, our bank notified us that it is studying the movements in our account, temporarily suspending all operations. We removed the option of bank transfers from the control panel on our website and informed users about delays with transactions.
However, despite all efforts, yesterday the bank informed us that due to a change in their policy, they decided to terminate relations with us and completely close our accounts, “representatives of Bitwala state.
Despite what is happening, the Bitwala team is assured that the funds of all the platform clients are fully secure, and the platform together with WaveCrest will work over their return to users within the next month.
The plans for the creation of cryptobank in the company explain the following:
“Bitwala will restart as a crypto bank. Having worked more than a year on the agreement, we finally came to a mutual agreement with our banking partner from Germany. After moving to a new platform, users will be able to open full-fledged bank accounts.”
It is noted that all accounts will receive debit cards, a separate replenishment of which is not required. At the same time, if earlier users of the platform had access only in one direction of the “crypto currency – Fiat”, now they will have the opportunity to work in the opposite direction.
Does not leave the team Bitwala and plans for ICO, which were reported back in the last year. However, if until this moment the estimated time for launching the sale of tokens was called the first quarter of 2018, now the start was postponed to a later date after the platform restart.
