UNITED STATES (VOP TODAY NEWS) — The risks of a British exit from the European Union without any agreement continue to grow amid the inability of the British authorities to approve the previously agreed draft agreement.

The main EU representative at the negotiations with Great Britain, Michel Barnier, in his speech at the European Parliament on Wednesday, March 13, after yet another failure of Theresa May’s government in the House of Commons, stated that the current situation more and more clearly indicates London’s exit from the European Union in an untidy manner.”

The official warned that Britain is in danger of withdrawing from the EU without an agreement “unintentionally”, even if the British authorities themselves do not want it. According to Barnier, the EU “did not want and did not seek” to implement such a scenario.

“Negotiations on the draft agreement on the UK exit from the EU have already been completed, we have agreed on this draft.

We are now at a critical stage. The risks of leaving the UK from the EU have never been as high as they are now. Exiting without an agreement may inadvertently happen . Do not underestimate the risks and consequences of such a development.

the EU leadership, individual EU countries are ready for such a scenario. we do not want the implementation of such a scenario, and we did not aspire to such an outcome. we did not want it on to the United Kingdom withdrew from the EU ended without an agreement. We have worked hard to make this output occurred in an orderly manner. But we are ready, the EU is ready for such a situation.

I want to remind you that if the draft agreement is not approved, if we are unable to reach any agreement, we will face a situation where the UK leaves the EU without an agreement.”
