Scientists and climate experts have revealed the future of our planet if global warming continues.
An international scientific team from the Potsdam Institute in Germany to study climate change concluded that rivers would rise and rise in sea and ocean levels, accompanied by increased rainfall due to rising temperatures, posing a real threat to millions of people.
“Regardless of the significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere, temperatures on the ground will continue to rise over the next 20-30 years,” the researchers note in their article in Science Advances. Around the world”.
According to climate experts, this risk includes areas around the equator: a large part of the United States, Central Europe, North-East and West Africa, as well as India, China and Indonesia.
The researchers therefore called on the international community to pay attention to the problem of climate change and environmental conservation. And justified their adoption for 25 years as a period of serious risk, because there is no possibility to stop the rise in temperature during this period.
Roman Vilfand, director of the Russian Meteorological Center, has announced that 2017 was the warmest in Russia’s history.
