The Argentine Navy stops the operation to rescue the crew of the missing submarine “San Juan”. This was stated at a press conference by the official representative of the Navy of the Republic Enrique Balbi.
At the same time, the search for the most disappeared submarine continues.
“The search and rescue operation is over.” The Ministry of Defense reports on the transition to the next stage, which is to search for the submarine,” Enrique Balbi said.
Earlier it was reported that in the last message from the missing Argentine submarine “San Juan” it was said about the flow of water through the ventilation system into the storage pit, which led to a short circuit and the occurrence of a fire.
The submarine “San Juan” lost communication on November 15. The submarine went from the port of Ushuaia to the city of Mar del Plata. On board at the time of the loss were 44 crew members.
