Prime Minister Edi Rama and opposition leader Lulzim Basha met again today, this time, as they had warned, to detail the agreement reached after midnight last night.
The two main political leaders were accompanied by their associates, legal affairs experts, Engagh Agaçi, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers and Oerd Bylykbashi, Democrat MP, VOA reported.
For the agreement reached, it is only what Mr. Basha said last night after the head-to-head meeting with Mr. Rama, that it is based on the so-called “McAllister Plus Platform”, which was offered as a solution on Monday in Tirana by the Deputy Assistant US Secretary of State Hoyt Brian Yee, in an effort to enable the involvement of opposition parties in the electoral process.
Mr. Rama, on his part, was content to state that he was “completely in agreement with the statements of the head of the opposition.”
