Airport on the island of Bali resumed work

Ngurah Rai International Airport on the island of Bali in Indonesia, closed earlier due to the eruption of the Agung volcano, resumed its work. This is stated in the airport’s statement on Twitter.

“Ngurah Rai Airport opened on November 29 at 14:28 local time (09:28 Moscow time),” the statement said.

Earlier, the Indonesian authorities have prolonged the order to close the international airport in Bali from 28 to 30 November. It was assumed that the air port is closed up to 07:00 hours local time on Thursday.

Recall, the second week after the eruption of the volcano Agung occurred last Sunday. A column of smoke rose several thousand meters. The state authorities introduced a red threat to air transport and closed airports in Bali and Lombok.

Earlier on Wednesday, due to expected in the next few hours the third eruption of the volcano Agung on the island of Bali began a large-scale forced evacuation. In the potentially dangerous zone there are more than 100 thousand people.

It was reported that people would be taken out by sea. The authorities demanded that the residents leave their homes as soon as possible and move closer to the coast.
